Welcome to the Wargames Weekend website. Wargames Weekends have been running for five years enabling gamers to indulge in their hobby in the company of fellow enthusiasts, in a pleasant and spacious environment.
We aim to provide wargamers with a thoroughly enjoyable weekend of gaming. For the advertised game/s all the terrain, scenery and substantial armies of miniatures are all provided, ready to play.
Spaces are limited, early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
What game/s will be running?
Battle of Aspern Essling 1809 - Two day recreation of this pivotal battle pitting Napoleon against the Archduke Charles.
9,000+ 15mm scale accurately painted and based figures representing all the units engaged in the battle, 1 figure representing 20 actual men
Rules used are the excellent General de Brigade by Dave Brown
The game is the third in the series run by experienced umpire and gamer, Paul Simms, which started with the highly acclaimed Waterloo and more recently the linked battles of Ligny, Quatre Bras.
Space is limited so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment
Cost of the Wargames Weekend:
The cost is £20 per day to include lunch and light refreshments during the day, all figures, terrain and gaming equipment are provided.
Where?
We have booked a local village hall at Burton Lazars on the A606, 3 miles outside Melton Mowbray,Leicestershire, on the Oakham road, (A606), which has good off road parking, amenities etc

Accommodation
There is a large choice of suitable accommodation either in the village or in neighbouring Melton Mowbray, ask for details or 'google' it.
